I went camping at the Outer Banks with my dad. We camped at Frisco campground. During the night we started hearing hail and wind and we ran out of the tent and got in the car and the tent got flattened. We laid in the car and then dad got more stuff out of the tent. When we woke up in the morning the tent was on the other side of the road. We put it back up and we were all ok. Almost all of our clothes were soaked and all of our towels and sleeping bags were soaked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I got my ham radio license in June and dad and I were going the Parks on the Air. You have to be in a park and make as many radio contacts as possible. My first HF contact was Kennedy Space Center. It was hot in the tent and then we went out and got hot pizza. The next day we went to a sandwich shop with air conditioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Me at Avon Pier. We charged the car and played frisbee in the parking lot while we waited. We practiced skipping the frisbee off the ground. It was cool how many hurricanes have hit Avon pier and how wobbly it was.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
