Nana and Papa got me a paddleboard!

I’ve been paddleboarding with my friends on their board too and Mrs. Aileen lets me borrow hers.

We went to Charleston South Carolina with my Nana and Papa for a week.

I went camping at the Outer Banks with my dad. We camped at Frisco campground. During the night we started hearing hail and wind and we ran out of the tent and got in the car and the tent got flattened. We laid in the car and then dad got more stuff out of the tent. When we woke up in the morning the tent was on the other side of the road. We put it back up and we were all ok. Almost all of our clothes were soaked and all of our towels and sleeping bags were soaked.
I got my ham radio license in June and dad and I were going the Parks on the Air. You have to be in a park and make as many radio contacts as possible. My first HF contact was Kennedy Space Center. It was hot in the tent and then we went out and got hot pizza. The next day we went to a sandwich shop with air conditioning.

Today was full of fun pin trading, decorating water bottles, watching other performances, and playing games. I traded for pins from Korea, Brazil, Poland, Nova Scotia, and lots of states.

The opening ceremony was by far one of the best places. We got to dance. We listened to music. We saw our music video with Rachel Hale. We saw where all the teams were from. There were 27 states and 6 countries. There were teams from Brazil, Korea, Poland, Pakistan, and Ecuador. All the teams sat with their state so we sat with Maryland we all wore yellow shirts and had light up tambourines.

Morning
We got gifts from Mrs. Young at breakfast which made us even more hyped about the competition.

Getting ready
We were so nervous and excited at the same time but when it was competition time we did our best and rolled through the script. Structure check in went well and I ate a swedish fish sandwhich.

Performance
We had to build a wood and glue structure that could roll down a ramp and then hold weight and have a script that went along with it. We did the very best we could for the script and the structure blew our minds with how much weight it held and overall I think we did as good as we could have. Our structure weighed 134 grams and held 395 pounds. Our one at states held 210 pounds so we held 185 pounds more than we did at states. We reengineered it and improved our structure.

Talking to the judges
Afterward talking to the judges we got the impression that they were proud and amazed.

Instant challenge
In instant challenge they give you a challenge you have a limited amount of time and resources and you have to complete the challenge and you have no idea what it is until you walk into the room and they tell you what to do. You have to work very good as a team to get anything done.
